On Saturday, March 14, 2026, Khon Kaen University (KKU), through the Division of Student Development and Alumni Relations, organized the “KKU EGGs Day: Student Synergy Day” project to honor and celebrate students with outstanding achievements in activities aligned with the EGGS KKU Students’ Identity at the Hua Chiew Poonsiree Conference Room, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
The Division of Student Development and Alumni Relations organized this event with the primary objectives of promoting a culture of pride and recognition of value, capability, and collective consciousness, as well as encouraging students to commit to holistic and sustainable self-development.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, stated that the KKU EGGs Day: Student Synergy Day project honors exemplary students who embody the EGGS Identity, which comprises entrepreneurial mindset, global perspective, continuous development orientation, and sustainability awareness. This recognition reflects the value students gain from their work and extracurricular activities. He encouraged the recipients to let today’s success be a significant source of motivation for self-development and creating benefits for society in the future.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pensri Jaroenwanich, Vice President for Student Affairs and Innoventure, reported that in the academic year 2025, a total of 1,681 students received certificates of recognition, with cooperation from student development divisions across all faculties. The key objective of this project is to instill pride in students and help them recognize the value of their activity experiences, which will be beneficial for their future work and life.
Mr. Sorawit Tangpakdee, a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Engineering and President of the KKU Student Organization for the academic year 2025, recipient of the Kalapruk Award for Administrative and Management Skills, said he believes his key strength is his commitment to holistic self-development through leadership roles at various levels, including President of the KKU Student Organization and President of the Federation of Engineering Students of Thailand. These experiences have shaped his management skills, teamwork abilities, and systematic decision-making. This award not only brings pride but also validates his dedication throughout this period and represents encouragement from instructors, friends, and everyone who has consistently provided opportunities. In the future, he intends to apply these experiences to develop student activities that benefit society and to apply leadership skills in the engineering field to create innovations that consider the sustainability of society and the environment.
Mr. Yodsapakorn Rueangsan, a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Law and President of the Student Council for the academic year 2025, recipient of the Outstanding Extracurricular Activities Award in the position of Student Council President, stated, “I have dedicated myself to performing my duties to the best of my ability, including listening to students’ opinions and pushing forward various activities and projects to become concrete realities, in order to maximize benefits for students and the university as a whole. I am extremely delighted and proud to receive this award, and I want to affirm that encouragement means more than any award, because everything that has been accomplished was not achieved through any single person’s efforts, but rather through the strong cooperation of all parties involved.
“Even though I am approaching graduation, I intend to build upon the valuable experiences and lessons from student activities in both my professional career and future life, particularly skills in working with others, listening to diverse opinions, and consciousness in working for the collective good, all of which are important foundations for both career pursuits and participation in social development in the future,” Mr. Yodsapakorn concluded.
This event serves to honor and celebrate all award-winning students and to inspire them to be good role models for future generations of students.
