On 26 February 2026, the College of Local Administration (COLA) at Khon Kaen University organised a meeting to monitor its progress in preparing for the self-assessment based on the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx 300). The event was attended by the college’s administrators, academic staff, and relevant personnel at the College of Local Administration.
The meeting was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Sirisak Laochankham, Dean of the College of Local Administration, alongside the administrative team, including the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and International Relations, and the Assistant Dean for Planning and Excellence Development. Together, they tracked the progress and provided direction for organisational development in alignment with the 9th edition of the EdPEx criteria, which the college has been using as its framework for administration and development since the 2021 fiscal year.

The preparation involved a comprehensive review of key components of the organisational management system. These included Leadership, Strategy and Action Plan, Customer and Stakeholder Focus, Measurement, Analysis, and Knowledge Management, as well as Operations and Results. The aim is to enhance the quality of management in a systematic and sustainable manner.
Assistant Professor Dr. Sirisak Laochankham remarked, “Driving the organisation with the EdPEx criteria is a crucial mechanism for elevating the quality of management in higher education institutions. It is not merely for assessment but for the holistic development of the entire organisation—from defining our vision and strategy, to personnel development, and achieving tangible outcomes for our students and society. This reflects our commitment to meeting national and international quality standards.”

Dr. Panpan Ronghanarm, Assistant Dean for Planning and Excellence Development, added, “Preparing for the EdPEx assessment is a process that requires the collaboration of everyone in the organisation. This includes data management, improving work processes, and cultivating a quality-focused organisational culture to ensure continuous and sustainable development.”
This initiative underscores the commitment of the College of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University, to developing the organisation towards excellence in line with educational quality standards. It also supports the tangible realisation of its vision to be “a leading ASEAN institution in public affairs that creates value for society.”
