Khon Kaen University Equips Administrative Staff with AI Tools to Boost Efficiency

        KHON KAEN – The Office of Academic , Khon Kaen University (KKU) is pushing forward with its digital transformation strategy by equipping support staff with Generative AI skills to streamline administrative tasks and promote lifelong learning.

            On 20 February 2026, Assoc. Prof. D.V.M. Dr. Chuchat Kamollert, Director of the Academic Service Bureau, presided over the opening of a workshop entitled “AI for Modern Administrative Work: Reducing Work Time and Increasing Efficiency with Generative AI.” The session was attended by 78 support staff members and interested participants, with the objective of integrating artificial intelligence into document processing and organisational management.

            Assoc. Prof. D.V.M. Dr. Kamollert emphasized that digital technology is rapidly reshaping the workplace. “Artificial Intelligence is no longer just an option; it has become a crucial tool for driving maximum efficiency, especially in administrative work, which acts as the gears driving the organization,” he stated.

      He further noted that leveraging AI to manage substantial workloads not only shortens processing time but also enhances accuracy and overall work quality. This initiative aligns with the Bureau’s mission to offer responsive “Short Courses” that address the evolving demands of contemporary society.

        The workshop was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanda Saikaew, a digital technology expert from KKU’s Faculty of Engineering. The curriculum was designed to provide hands-on experience across three key dimensions:

  • Basics and Application: Understanding safe and ethical AI usage, alongside techniques in “Prompt Engineering” to generate precise results.
  • Innovation in Documentation: Using AI to draft official correspondence, proofread documents, and create modern, visually appealing presentations.
  • Management Efficiency: Utilizing AI for automated evaluations, recording and summarizing meeting minutes, and retrieving information from large document databases.

This training initiative reinforces the Academic Service Bureau’s role as a central learning hub within the University, committed to enhancing personnel competencies and supporting the sustainable development of Thailand’s workforce through the strategic adoption of advanced technologies.
