KKU Organises “TQA for Executive” Training to Enhance Management Capability and Drive Sustainable Organisational Excellence

The Strategic Planning Division, Office of the President, hosted the course to develop strategic management skills among senior executives using the Thailand Quality Award (TQA) framework, preparing the University for excellence in research and commercial innovation.

The Strategic Planning Division, Office of the President, Khon Kaen University (KKU), organised a training seminar titled “TQA for Executive: A Conceptual Framework for Organisational Management Using TQA Criteria for Senior Executives.” The programme was conducted on 14–15 February 2026 at Sirikhunakon Meeting Room 3, KKU, as part of the University’s 2026 fiscal year action plan development and evaluation initiative.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University, who delivered the opening remarks and a special lecture on “Guidelines for Organisational Transformation Towards Excellence in Research and Commercial Innovation.” 

The seminar also featured Dr. Sitisak Phruekpitikul as a distinguished guest speaker, who led sessions and knowledge exchange on key topics, including:

“TQA for Executive: A Conceptual Framework for Organisational Management Using TQA Criteria for Senior Executives”

“Strategic Execution Tools: Effective Tools for Driving Strategy”

“Innovation Management System: Sustainable Organisational Development Through Innovation Management”

“Driving Enterprise Commercial Innovation Strategies: Lessons from the Private Sector”

The programme integrated conceptual lectures with hands-on workshops. Participants analysed case scenarios, exchanged strategic perspectives, and formulated approaches tailored to the University’s institutional context.

A total of 120 senior executives participated, including the President, Vice Presidents, Assistants to the President, heads of academic and support units, directors under the Office of the President, and members of the strategic analysis committee responsible for future planning.

This training was crucial for reviewing and defining the University’s development direction within the rapidly changing global context. It aimed to enhance strategic planning knowledge and prepare executives to address emerging complexities in economics, technology, society, and innovation. By strengthening the participants’ management and strategic planning competencies, the knowledge gained can be applied directly to setting institutional priorities, driving key strategic initiatives, and firmly achieving the University’s future vision in a secure and sustainable manner.
