Khon Kaen University Library is taking a significant step to serve as an international learning hub

On February 11, 2026, a six-member executive team from the Library of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China paid an official visit to Khon Kaen University Library and were welcomed by Associate Professor Dr. Supat Sinawat, Director of the KKU Library, and his administrative staff. The official visit aimed to explore potential academic collaborations and foster knowledge exchange between the two institutions.

The Chinese delegation toured the KKU Library’s notable service innovations, including the KKU Research Hub, AI Clinic, GMS Wisdom Hub, and the “Learning through Metaverse Experience” program. They also observed a “Living Classroom” activity and received a briefing on the library’s successful transformation from a traditional reading space into a modern “Learning Center for All.”

This transformation, achieved through the creation of innovative services, highlights the library’s role as an intellectual center and a regional leader in digital library development.

The meeting marks a significant starting point for building an international network in library and information science. Future collaborative activities may include personnel exchanges, joint research projects, and the development of new information management innovations beneficial to the library sectors in both countries.

The KKU Library stated it was honored to host the delegation and is ready to support a strong partnership with the Library of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to advance professional standards and build a lasting relationship.
