KKU Dentistry Executives Join International Symposium in Malaysia to Boost Research Network and Oral Health Personnel Capacity

The Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University (KKU), led by Assistant Professor Ajiravudh Subarnbhesaj, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, participated in the “International Collaborative Symposium on Development of Human Resources in Practical Oral Health and Treatment.”

Accompanying the Dean were Associate Professor Dusadee Homdee, D.D.S., Ph.D., Associate Dean for Research, Graduate Studies, and International Affairs, and Dr. Ketisupa Suwannapha, a Lecturer in Prosthodontics and an alumna with a doctoral degree from the Faculty of Dentistry, Niigata University, Japan. The KKU delegation was invited to the symposium, which was held from 8 to 9 February 2025, at The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This symposium was a collaborative effort between the Faculty of Dentistry, Niigata University (Japan) and the Faculty of Dentistry at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The primary objective of the event was to develop highly competent personnel in oral health, fostering both clinical treatment skills and research capabilities to effectively address contemporary global changes.

The programme featured a wide range of academic activities, including special lectures by international experts, a scholarly symposium, a Deans’ Meeting, and academic presentations in both poster and oral formats. These activities played a crucial role in enhancing international academic collaboration, fostering strong institutional relationships, and expanding professional networks among dental education institutions from multiple countries.
