Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Engineering hosted representatives from educational organisations and young participants to observe innovative engineering and technology laboratories.
The Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, welcomed a delegation from the Foundation for Future Education in Southeast Asia and Makerbox Lao, accompanied by 20 youth participants, to explore the Faculty’s engineering innovation ecosystem and advanced technology laboratories.
On 26 January 2026, the delegation visited the Faculty of Engineering to observe and study state-of-the-art facilities, including engineering laboratories, innovation spaces, and technology development centres. The visit aimed to provide participants with first-hand exposure to modern engineering innovation, the application of advanced technologies, and the Faculty’s teaching and research approaches.
The programme featured guided tours of laboratories and innovation workspaces, which serve as key platforms for developing engineering and technological knowledge. These activities enabled participants to gain a deeper understanding of how academic knowledge is translated into practical innovation.
In addition, the visit provided a valuable forum for exchanging ideas, experiences, and perspectives on youth potential development, promoting learning in engineering, innovation, and technology, and establishing collaborative networks between educational institutions, educational organisations, and international partners. The overarching goal is to jointly drive the development of human resources equipped to handle future shifts and challenges.
The Faculty of Engineering expressed its sincere hope that this welcome and observational visit marks another significant step in educational and innovation collaboration, and that it will inspire the youth to continuously pursue learning and develop skills in engineering and technology.
