ED-KKU Strengthens Professional Legal Knowledge, Aiming for Governance and Sustainable Educational Management

On 30 January 2026, at the Saisuree Chutikul Meeting Room, the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University (ED-KKU) organised an academic seminar titled “Law for Teachers and Educational Personnel: Best Practices and Case Studies.” The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Issara Kanjug, Dean of the Faculty of Education, with Associate Professor Wayu Kanjanasorn, Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Sustainable Society, presenting the objectives of the programme.

During the opening address, Associate Professor Issara Kanjug emphasised that laws and regulations serve as essential frameworks for ensuring transparency, fairness, and good governance in professional practice. He noted that a correct and up-to-date understanding of legal principles not only enhances work efficiency but also builds professional immunity, helping to prevent problems and reduce risks arising from official duties.

Associate Professor Wayu Kanjanasorn added that the seminar was designed to enable participants to apply legal knowledge accurately and appropriately within the current educational and administrative context, thereby strengthening responsible decision-making among teachers and educational personnel.

The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Suphasin Phuseesom from the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC). The lecture covered essential civil service regulations and practical legal applications through real-world case studies. This training equips personnel and future teachers with the confidence to make decisions within legal frameworks, promoting transparent management and excellence in the teaching profession. This initiative supports the goal of providing inclusive, high-quality education for sustainable social development.
