17 January 2026 – The Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University (KKU), organised the “Presentation of Classroom Research for the Second Semester of the Academic Year 2025.” The event served as an academic platform for student teachers undergoing practical training to present systematic research on addressing educational challenges and enhancing learning outcomes. The event also featured an award ceremony to honour outstanding research projects. Executives, lecturers, and students attended the activities, collectively driving improvements in classroom educational quality.
During the certificate presentation ceremony for Outstanding Classroom Research, Associate Professor Issara Kanjak, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Education, congratulated the award-winning students. He provided conceptual guidance, emphasising that studying and researching real classroom problems to find solutions is a principle that students must adopt when they fully enter the teaching profession.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of developing students’ capabilities to achieve the next level of being a “Teacher-Researcher” (ครูนักวิจัย). These educators must be capable of independently creating and developing innovations within the classroom. He expressed hope that the students would apply the knowledge gained from the specialists to their future professional work, concluding with well wishes and encouragement for all prospective teachers.
The event featured presentations of classroom research from students across various disciplines. The studies focused on using analytical thinking processes to solve student learning issues and piloting novel teaching innovations. Distinguished faculty members offered feedback and critiques to enhance the quality and practical applicability of the research.
Organising this event allowed student teachers to hone their systematic inquiry and problem-solving skills, which are essential to modern professional development in education. The benefits extended beyond individual skill enhancement, preparing the students to create effective learning environments that cater to the diverse needs of learners.
Promoting classroom research skills reflects the Faculty’s preparation for producing graduates who are educational innovators equipped with future skills. Nurturing the Teacher-Researcher identity forms a crucial foundation for developing new knowledge and creating educational innovations that yield sustainable societal benefits. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) concerning quality education and the promotion of lifelong learning opportunities, thereby strengthening Thailand’s educational sector to meet global standards.
