KKU Medical Technology Student: From Lab to National Stage, Medical Innovation Wins Silver Medal at Thailand New Gen Inventors Award 2026


The Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Khon Kaen University, would like to congratulate and extend its warmest wishes to Miss PATTARAWARIN PANYAKAEW , a master’s degree student in the Medical Technology Program, on the occasion of receiving the Silver Medal from the I-New Gen Award 2026 (Thailand New Gen Inventors Award 2026) competition at the higher education level in the Health and Medical category during the Thailand Inventors’ Day 2026 event, held from January 5-9, 2026, at BITEC Bangna, organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

The award was received for the invention titled: “Non-invasive Machine Learning Model for Predicting Chromosomal Status of Blastocyst Stage Embryos”

This research work was developed under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Pornsuda Maraming and Associate Professor Dr. Jureerat Daduang, in collaboration with Dr. Rungrueang Phattanakull from the Synchrotron Light Research Institute and Dr. Wiwat Quangkananurak from Safe Fertility Group Infertility Center.

Miss Phatworin revealed that she feels extremely honored to receive this prestigious award, which represents the collective success of a research team that has worked continuously and dedicatedly. The award reflects the value and potential of the research work and serves as an important driving force for developing research and medical innovation to elevate the quality of life of the public in the future.

This achievement is another source of pride for the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences and Khon Kaen University, and reflects the research potential and innovation in medical sciences that can be further developed for concrete benefits to the country’s health and medical systems.
