The Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University, proudly congratulates Dr Thatiya Yaemnam, a second-year resident in Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain, on receiving the Third Prize Winner (Original Research Category) for her poster presentation entitled:
“Phenotypic clustering in painful post-traumatic trigeminal neuropathy, incorporating psychological and comorbidity dimensions.”
The award was presented at the 23rd Scientific Meeting of the Asian Academy of Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorders (AAOT), held in conjunction with the 1st Scientific Meeting of TAOOP, hosted by the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University on 22–23 November 2025.
The research was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teekayu Plangkoon-Jorns, DDS, Ph.D. Co-advisors included : Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jarin Paphangkorakit, Asst. Prof. Dr. Supanigar Ruangsri, Dr. Sawita Khimsuksri, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Waranuch Pitiphat, and Mr. Thanapol Tangchupong.
The study aimed to analyze the phenotypic clustering of patients with painful post-traumatic trigeminal neuropathy (PPTTN) by integrating psychological factors and comorbidities. This research supports a deeper understanding of the clinical heterogeneity and complexity of this patient group, which will lead to better personalized assessment and the development of more appropriate individualized treatments.
