Gold Medal for Demonstration School Students from KKU at the EISTF 2025 International Science and Technology Fair
On 1 November 2025, a team of secondary school students from the Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University, Secondary Division (Faculty of Education) achieved a Gold Medal at the Egypt International Science and Technology Fair (EISTF 2025). They competed in the Environmental Engineering and Environmental Science category, held in a hybrid format with on-site presentations in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, and online sessions via the Zoom platform. The student team consisted of Miss Narichamon Chatvetin (Grade 10/3), Miss Viralpatch Wunna (Grade 10/2), and Miss Nattaya Singhsombat (Grade 10/5), representing the school’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Project Club. Their project successfully advanced through the national selection round, earning the opportunity to present both oral and poster presentations at the international level.

The EISTF 2025 attracted more than 114 teams from around the world, including participants from the Thai Kingdom, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, People’s Republic of China, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, State of Kuwait, Republic of Kazakhstan, and Federative Republic of Brazil. The event was organised by the Egyptian Association for Science and Engineering (EASE), a non-profit entity under the Ministry of Social Solidarity of Egypt. Khon Kaen University
The project was supervised by Mr Somchok Kaewuthat, a science and technology instructor and adviser to the Science, Technology, and Innovation Project Club at the Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University.
This international achievement reflects the strong emphasis on science, innovation, and global learning at Khon Kaen University’s Demonstration School, while showcasing the capability of Thai students to compete with excellence on the world stage.
