Khon Kaen University Delegation Attends National Student Development Conference

A delegation from Khon Kaen University (KKU), led by Asst. Prof. Prapansak Chaveerach,DVM., Ph.D Assistant to the President for Student Affairs and Innovation Commercialization, attended a national conference on student potential development on December 18, 2025. The meeting, hosted by Mahidol University at its Salaya campus, was the third session of its kind for the 2025 academic year, organized under the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT).

Held under the theme “From Campus to Real World Impact,” the conference provided a national platform for higher education institutions to exchange ideas and strategies on preparing students for life beyond graduation. Discussions centred on enabling students to apply their academic knowledge, skills, and experiences to address societal challenges and contribute to sustainable national development.

The programme opened with a welcome address by Professor Dr. Sompop Prathanturarug, Vice President of Mahidol University, followed by a keynote lecture titled “Human History and Creating Impact on the World” delivered by Dr. Wit Sittivaekin, which aimed to inspire participants to drive meaningful change through education and leadership.

In the evening, the KKU delegation, which included student affairs staff and student representatives, joined a formal reception. The gathering, presided over by Mahidol University President Professor Dr. Banchong Mahaisavariya, provided an opportunity for networking and strengthening relationships among representatives from various universities.

Khon Kaen University’s participation in the conference is seen as a valuable opportunity to gain knowledge and best practices. The university aims to apply these insights to further enhance its student development programs, aligning with its mission to produce graduates dedicated to serving society.
