The Faculty of Architecture, Khon Kaen University (KKU), extends its heartfelt congratulations to all graduates and postgraduates who received their degrees during the Royal Degree Conferment Ceremony for the academic year 2025, held on 18–19 December 2025 at the Golden Jubilee Convention Centre, Khon Kaen University.
For the academic year 2025, the Faculty of Architecture proudly presented degrees to 146 bachelor’s degree graduates. Among these, the First Class Honours Gold Medal was awarded to Miss Buntheerthida Ruanphirom. Additionally, 44 graduates achieved First Class Honours, and 38 graduates received Second Class Honours. The faculty also celebrated 18 master’s degree graduates.
Following the conclusion of the Royal Degree Conferment Ceremony on 19 December 2025, Assistant Professor Chanasda Chullasthira and Lecturer Akkrapol Lamuang of the Faculty of Architecture were granted an audience to humbly present a single piece of woven fabric, entitled ‘The Garden of Royal Kindness’ (measuring 3 x 1 metre), to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, The Princess Royal, during the Khon Kaen University graduation ceremony for the academic year 2025.
The artwork, ‘The Garden of Royal Kindness,’ is a textile woven from vinyl that conveys the concept of boundless royal benevolence, likened to a flower garden that gently embraces and nurtures the people. The floral motifs are designed to connect seamlessly and harmoniously, symbolising enduring support, hope, and the boundless power of compassion.
The fabric patterns were designed by Lecturer Akkrapol Lamuang and produced by Ms. Lee Natthapha Phutthayaiya and the Thung Setthi Community Enterprise, Khon Kaen. The weaving design management and consultation were provided by Assistant Professor Chanasda Chullasthira. This work demonstrates the meaningful integration of academic design expertise with local community wisdom, illustrating the strength of collaboration between the University, designers, and community entrepreneurs in creating artworks of both artistic excellence and social value.
On this auspicious occasion, the Faculty of Architecture, Khon Kaen University, expresses its deepest gratitude for the royal benevolence shown in graciously permitting its representatives to present the ‘Garden of Royal Kindness’ woven fabric to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, The Princess Royal, during the Khon Kaen University Royal Degree Conferment Ceremony for the academic year 2025.
