Between November 26 and 28, 2025, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University hosted the second meeting of the Thailand Regional Business School Network (TRBS NET) for 2025 at the Movenpick Suriwongse Hotel in Chiang Mai Province. The TRBS NET meeting served as a forum to discuss strategies for promoting academic collaboration among leading business schools from four regions of Thailand: the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University; the Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University; the Faculty of Management Sciences, Prince of Songkla University; and the Faculty of Business Administration, Burapha University. Discussions centred on developing teaching and learning, strengthening research and academic services, personnel and student exchanges, as well as joint activities that sustainably elevate the quality of business education at the national level.
For this TRBS NET meeting, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, served as the primary host. Assoc. Prof. Theerawat Hungsapruek, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Prince of Songkla University (FMS PSU) and Chairman of the Network, presided over the meeting. Also in attendance were Asst. Prof. Pongsutti Phuensane, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University (KKBS); Asst. Prof. Khongphu Nimanandh, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University (CMUBS); Kamolwan Rodhring, Ph.D., Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Burapha University (BBS); and executive and support staff teams from all four institutions.

The meeting included activities such as a site visit to Ploen Phak Por Rak Mae Public Company Limited, also known as Ohkajhu Restaurant. This company operates healthy food and beverage restaurants and has developed and implemented modern agricultural business practices, showcasing excellent innovation, production processes, and environmental management at a national level. Following this, there was a knowledge exchange session among the executive and support staff groups from each institution. For example, Khon Kaen University presented a “Good Practice” for support staff on the topic of “AI Translator Jelly: Revolutionizing Comprehensive Bilingual Websites,” by Mr. Jakapan Wanphung-nga, Information Technology Officer, and Mr. Waranyu Donnuea, Audiovisual Academic Officer (Specialized Level). Chiang Mai University then presented on the topic of “AI with Financial Reports,” by Ms. Wilasinee Jaisue, Financial and Accounting Officer, and Ms. Tharatip Laowung, Financial and Accounting Officer. Burapha University presented on the topic of “Every Question Has an Answer: Turning Difficult Issues into Easy Ones with AI Chat Bot,” by Ms. Wantana Youngyeun, Academic Officer (Practitioner Level).

Subsequently, Working Group meetings were held for each specific area, comprising research and academic services, academic and lifelong learning, human resources, student development, and academic support staff, focusing on Individual Development Plans (IDP) and AACSB standards. The meeting also followed up on collaborative operations among the four network institutions on various matters, including: teaching and learning, specifically the joint establishment of a database of academic experts for examination committees at the graduate level; research and academic services, involving collaborative research and poll conducting among the four institutions; and student club activities, scheduled for April 2026.

Another significant agenda item was the progress report on preparations for the International and National Conference on Business Administration and Accountancy (INCBAA 2026), themed “Bridging Technological Transformation & Sustainable Performance.” This conference will feature Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Marko Sarstedt, Head of the Institute for Finance & Banking, LMU Munich School of Management, Germany, as a key speaker and workshop facilitator on Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, is the main host for this event, which will take place from February 5-7, 2026, at the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy and the Science Park, Khon Kaen University. Additionally, the TRBS NET meeting extended congratulations to the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, on receiving AACSB international accreditation. This marks the ninth institution in Thailand to achieve this prestigious standard. Concurrently, the meeting expressed solidarity with the personnel of Prince of Songkla University and the people in the southern region affected by the floods, hoping that all parties would overcome this situation with strength and support from networks across the country.
