KKU Faculty of Dentistry Organises 42nd ‘Good Teeth, Happy Lives’ Campaign, Offering Dental Knowledge and Free Services to the Community

The Khon Kaen University (KKU) Faculty of Dentistry organised the 42nd ‘Good Teeth, Happy Lives’ activity on 28 November 2568 at Khon Kaen Pattanasueksa School, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province.

The campaign aimed to strengthen dental health knowledge among teachers, students, and the public while providing free dental services to broaden access to essential oral healthcare. This year, the Faculty also deployed its newly launched mobile dental unit to support on-site services for students and community members.

The event was held in a warm and engaging atmosphere. Mr. Amphorn Onthuen, Director of Khon Kaen Pattanasueksa School, delivered the welcoming remarks:

“It is a great pleasure for our school to host this event. We thank the Faculty of Dentistry for giving this wonderful opportunity to our students and community. The school is ready to provide all necessary support to ensure this activity provides maximum benefit to everyone.”

Ms. Napassanan Sinparu, a dental student and President of the project, explained the campaign’s objectives: “This project aims to promote readily understandable dental health education and foster sustainable oral healthcare habits. It also allows dental students to gain experience working with the community. The event featured dental health exhibitions and free dental services, including fillings, extractions, and fluoride treatments, provided by the Faculty of Dentistry’s Royal Dentist Unit. These services are greatly beneficial to the residents of this area.”

Mr. Yuttapoom Yensabai, Mayor of Samran Subdistrict Municipality, presided over the opening ceremony: “I hope everyone takes this opportunity to learn and ask questions of the experts here, to gain a proper understanding and apply appropriate oral health care in your daily lives.”

The activity received enthusiastic feedback from many parents and students. Ms. Sangduean, an attendee, remarked, “I am very happy the school hosted this. The children gained knowledge and received free dental checks. I hope projects like this continue.”

Meanwhile, a student from Khon Kaen Pattanasueksa School shared her excitement: “It was really fun! I learned how to care for my teeth and got dental work done, making my teeth look nicer. I am happy to take better care of myself.”

The 42nd ‘Good Teeth, Happy Lives’ campaign reflects the commitment of the KKU Faculty of Dentistry to sustainably raise the standard of public oral health and strengthen cooperation between academic institutions, communities, and local authorities.
