The Community Pharmacy Practice Facility of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Khon Kaen University (KKU Pharmacy Shop), has officially launched the “Telehealth Thailand” platform, a comprehensive online healthcare service designed to connect patients with expert pharmacists anytime, anywhere. This service includes free home delivery of prescriptions.
The initiative aims to leverage digital technology to expand access to healthcare services, reducing barriers related to distance, time, and hospital queues. The platform is now available for download on both Google Play and the App Store. Users can register through three methods: national identification card, or at designated Kiosks.

The identity verification process places a strong emphasis on security and involves seven steps: initiation of identity verification, card scanning, facial recognition scanning, data review and confirmation, password creation, successful registration, and verification of rights and health benefit connection. The platform also integrates the Pao Tang application system for convenient and secure payments.
To access the online health consultation service, users open the app and select the “Immediate Consultation” button on the home screen. They then choose the personnel they wish to consult, select the applicable health benefits, choose the symptom from the provided list, select the personnel from the “KKU Community Pharmacy Practice Facility,” and finally, choose either “Consult Immediately” or “Schedule an Appointment.” The system will then connect the user directly with a pharmacist for the online consultation.
There are two methods for logging into the consultation system: entering the national identification number or logging in via the Pao Tang application. The system will request location access to ensure accurate service provision, which allows users to conveniently select their current address for medication delivery. The platform’s service coverage is broad, addressing various health concerns, including basic healthcare, medication guidance, general health problems, and inquiries about illnesses. Expert pharmacists are available to provide consultation 24 hours a day, ensuring rapid accessibility regardless of the patient’s location.
A notable highlight is the complimentary home medication delivery service. Users may choose fast delivery via partnered providers such as Grab or Lineman, or opt for the dedicated pharmacy delivery service—both offered with no shipping fee. Medication dispatch is scheduled twice daily, at 11:00 hrs and 13:00 hrs.
