On 21 November 2025, the International Affairs Division (IAD) of Khon Kaen University (KKU) hosted the International Student Orientation for the second semester of the 2025 Academic Year. The event took place at Sirikunakorn Meeting Room 3, 2nd Floor, Sirikunakorn Building.
The ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-aswapati, D.D.S., D.M.Sc., Vice President for International Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs, who delivered the welcoming remarks to the international students.
The orientation aimed to provide an opportunity for international students studying at KKU to meet, network, and engage in cultural exchange with peers from various nations. Furthermore, key information was introduced regarding services offered by essential university units, including the International Affairs Division, the Graduate School, the Office of Academic Administration and Development, the Office of Digital Technology, the Library, and the Division of Sport. The event concluded with an “International Student Talk and Share” session, where representatives from the International Student Club exchanged experiences about living and studying at Khon Kaen University.
Currently, over 800 international students are enrolled at Khon Kaen University. The atmosphere of the activities was warm, enjoyable, and filled with camaraderie, reflecting the university’s continuous commitment to promoting internationalisation.
In the afternoon, the IAD organised the KKU Campus Tour, offering students a chance to experience the serene atmosphere of the university’s Green Campus. Students learned about routes and key landmarks, as well as the various service units within the university. Most participants found the activity exceptionally beneficial and impressive.
Students expressed particular satisfaction with the modern facilities, such as the KKU Smart Transit Service, the beautiful campus environment (KKU Green Campus), the cultural diversity, and the learning support provided by fellow students, faculty members, and staff, who were readily available to offer close guidance.
