KKBS, in collaboration with the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance student potential for careers in finance and investment

The Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy (Khon Kaen Business School), Khon Kaen University, organized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC) at Wanglert Smart Classroom, BS.01 Building, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy. The ceremony was honored by the presence of executives from both organizations, who served as witnesses to the signing. These included Pongphan Sathatip, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Industrial Relations and Sustainability, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy; Asst Prof. Suthasinee Suwannapak, Program Chair of the Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Financial Technology, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy; along with Mr. Denpong Chanthawee, Assistant Secretary-General, Association of Investment Management Companies, and Ms. Siriporn Rattanasuwan, Director, Association of Investment Management Companies.

This collaboration aims to prepare students for professional careers in finance by developing essential skills, knowledge, and practical experience. It will also support students in obtaining financial licenses, thereby enhancing their readiness to enter the financial and investment industry. The cooperation also seeks to provide students with increased opportunities for employment in financial and investment professions and serves as a platform for exchanging knowledge and innovation between the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy (Khon Kaen Business School), Khon Kaen University, and the Association of Investment Management Companies. This will help to elevate students’ skills to align with industry demands and effectively address the evolving landscape of the financial industry and capital markets.

Furthermore, both organizations will collaborate on several initiatives, including the promotion and recruitment of students for various academic programs under the MOU. This encompasses the establishment of an application system and an e-learning platform to enhance professional financial skills, as well as support for financial license examination fees. Additionally, the partnership will involve providing suitable examination venues and training facilities within the university. The collaboration extends to knowledge exchange, career guidance, and systematically offering students internship opportunities with member companies of the Association. The Association of Investment Management Companies will compile a list of students who have completed training and passed license examinations under the IC Journey project, forwarding this list to its network of member companies to further career opportunities in finance and investment. All procedures will strictly adhere to personal data security principles, in accordance with the standards of the financial industry.

This collaboration reflects the policy of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy (Khon Kaen Business School), Khon Kaen University, which aims to cultivate professional graduates who embody PRIME values. It also aligns with the Faculty’s vision to foster cooperation with the industry sector to enhance the quality of learning and develop innovations for sustainable economic growth.
