Students from the Computer Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University (KKU), achieved outstanding success by securing the First Place Award (Champion), the Deputy First Place Award (First Runner-up), and earning the top scores in four out of five categories at the 19th Embedded System Skill Contest, or TESA Top Gun Rally 2025. This prestigious competition awards the Royal Trophy bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
The competition was held from 9 to 15 November 2025 at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy (CRMA). Sixty-nine teams from across the nation participated, tackling the challenging theme, “Defense Innovations.” The aim of the Rally was to test the participants’ ability to apply embedded system knowledge to solve real-world problems, create innovations under pressure, and enhance future developers’ teamwork skills.
Khon Kaen University’s participation was led by the faculty advisor, Associate Professor Dr. Daranee Homdee, who supported three teams: two competing teams, See-It2025 and GearDinDaeng2025, and one observer team, Ob-See-It2025. The event was organised by the Thai Embedded System Association (TESA).

In addition to their competitive success, the winning team and their faculty advisor were granted the honour of attending an audience and having their photograph taken during the “Commemorative Academic Project for Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the Occasion of Her 70th Birthday Anniversary, 2 April 2025,” which will be held on 17 November 2025.
This accomplishment marks a significant milestone that reflects the strong potential of Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Engineering students to become national leaders in embedded system technology.
