The College of Graduate Study in Management, Khon Kaen University (MBA KKU), together with The Great Foresight The Global Leader (GFGL) Centre, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly organise the second iteration of the “Wellness Visionary Mastering Executive Programme (WVP 2026).”
The signing ceremony took place on 5 November 2568 at the College of Graduate Study in Management, Khon Kaen University.
The ceremony was led by Dr. Sakchai Jarernsiripornkul Dean of the College of Graduate Study in Management and Chairman of the WVP 2026 Programme Committee, alongside Ms. Suwadee Panjariyangkul, Director of the GFGL Centre and Programme Committee Member.
The objectives of the MOU are threefold: first, to collaboratively design and manage a high-quality training curriculum; second, to enhance the capabilities of high-level executives in the wellness business sector and other related fields; and third, to foster academic cooperation between the two parties. The programme aims to empower senior executives from the private sector, government agencies, and state enterprises with high potential and capacity to support the growth of the health and wellness industry. This will be achieved through the “Golden Business Blueprint Platform” concept, designed to elevate Thailand’s health economy to international standards.

Driving the Wellness Economy in the Northeast
Dr. Sakchai Jarernsiripornkul Dean of the College of Graduate Study in Management and Chairman of the WVP 2026 Programme Committee, stated that “Wellness is the future of Thai business and a new engine driving the national economy.” He views the GFGL programme, which had previously succeeded in Bangkok, as a crucial opportunity for the Northeastern region, aligning with MBA KKU’s vision to promote sustainable growth in the well-being business.

Ms Suwadee Panjariyangkul, Director of the GFGL Centre and Programme Committee Member, commented that this programme would help establish Khon Kaen province as the “Wellness & Longevity Centre of the Northeast,” capitalising on the area’s potential in food, healthcare, herbs, and comprehensive services. The training will encompass 10 sessions held from 22 January to 20 March 2569, including Business Matching activities and guidance on securing development funding. The curriculum will focus on four main pillars: Green, Health, Digital AI, and Capital.

General Dr Boonlue Wongtao, Chairman of the Wellness Visionary Mastering Executive Programme (WVP 2026), revealed that this second cohort, commencing in 2569, marks the first time the programme is being offered in the Northeastern region, with the College of Graduate Study in Management, Khon Kaen University, serving as the host institution.
The programme aims to develop well-rounded modern executives through four core pillars: Health and Wellness, Digital Technologies and AI, Investment and Capital Management, and Environment and Sustainability. Participants will benefit from knowledge related to personal health management, organisational development, and business extension within the wellness industry—a sector identified as essential for Thailand’s future economic growth. General Dr Boonlue encouraged executives to participate and help build a network of national health leaders.

Associate Professor Cholatip Pongskul, M.D., Assistant to the President for Strategic Plan Monitoring and Key Initiatives and Director of the KKU Wellness and Medical Innovation Area Administration Center, stated that Khon Kaen is ready to advance towards becoming the “Medical and Wellness Hub of the Northeast and the World,” in line with SDG 3: Well-being. This effort aims to transform the province into a new global “Blue Zone” where citizens enjoy good health and longevity.

Assoc. Prof. Supot Hannongbua, Ph.D., Vice Chairman of the Khon Kaen University Council Promotion Committee and Advisor to the WVP 2026 Programme, concluded that “The launch of this Wellness programme is a significant step connecting real life, real entrepreneurs, and the University.” The goal is to truly integrate the University’s knowledge base and research into developing the well-being economy.
This signing ceremony represents a major step in elevating and generating new knowledge in the global trend of the “Wellness” industry. By combining the potential of the GFGL Centre and Khon Kaen University, overseen by the College of Graduate Study in Management, the partnership will produce visionary executives prepared for future changes. Furthermore, it is a crucial move in driving the network of senior executives in Thailand’s Wellness industry to collaboratively create a Golden Business Blueprint towards becoming Asia’s innovative health business centre.

The training sessions will be held every Thursday and Friday for 10 weeks, from 22 January to 20 March 2569, in the form of lectures, workshops, and field studies in both Bangkok and Khon Kaen province.
