Khon Kaen – Between 1 and 2 November 2568, the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University (KKU), organised a practical training programme—“Designing and Developing Curricula with SATIT INNOVATION and Creating Educational Media using AI.”

This initiative was conducted under the academic collaboration agreement between the Faculty of Education and Sila Municipality, held in the ED-TEAL meeting room on the 4th Floor of the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University. The objective was to enhance the capacity of teachers and educational personnel at Sila Municipality Demonstration School (SATIT) in designing curricula and creating learning innovations relevant for learners in the digital age.

During the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Wayu Kanchanasorn, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Sustainable Society, delivered the opening address on behalf of the Dean. He underscored the critical importance of integrating innovation and technology into teaching and learning management to comprehensively develop essential 21st-century skills for students.

Assoc. Prof. Danita Duangvilai, Ph.D., Assistant Dean for Model School Development and Proactive Marketing, reported on the project’s objectives. Joining the ceremony were Mr. Bumpen Khotthueng, Deputy Mayor of Sila Municipality; Mr. Rachan Wongcharee, Director of the Sila Municipality Education Division; Ms. Praphai phan Pamee, Head of Strategy and Projects; and Mr. Sakchai Bunnom, Director of Sila Municipality Demonstration School. This project specifically aims to improve the quality of education and upgrade the competence of teaching staff.

Over the two-day training programme, 25 participating teachers from Sila Municipality Demonstration School gained valuable knowledge and experience from expert lecturers from the Faculty of Education and the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School.

The training included practical, small-group workshops covering a variety of engaging topics, such as:

• Innovation in Thai Language Learning Management: Smart Innovative Thai Learning (ITL)
• Innovation in English Language Learning Management: Smart Innovator English Language (SIEL)
• Innovation in Mathematics Learning Management: Smart Innovator Mathematic (SIM)
• Innovation in Science Learning Management: Smart Innovator Science (SIS)
• Innovation in Coding Learning Management: Smart Innovative Coding (SIC)
• Innovation in Art Learning Management: Smart Innovator Art (SIA)
• Innovation in Health and Physical Education Learning Management: Smart Innovative Physical Education (SPE)
• Innovation in Inclusive Education Management: Smart Inclusive Education (SIE)

A crucial segment on “Creating Educational Media using AI” was also featured, with Lecturer Samart Singma, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, serving as the expert keynote speaker.

This training serves as a fundamental step in reinforcing a sustainable academic cooperation network between the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, and Sila Municipality. This effort aligns with the Faculty’s vision to become “a leading ASEAN Faculty of Education focusing on educational innovation for sustainable development” and fulfils its mission of providing academic services that create value for society. This collaboration not only elevates the professional capacity of the teachers but also ensures that all students receive equitable and sustainable quality education, fostering lifelong learning opportunities to collectively build a learning society that grows alongside the nation’s sustainability.
