KKU Athletes Achieve Excellent Results at “Pholomtan Games,” Securing Places in the 51st Thailand University Games

Khon Kaen University (KKU) athletes showcased outstanding performance and determination during the qualifying round for the 51st Thailand University Games, known as the “Pholomtan Games.” The event took place at Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University from 27 October to 3 November 2025, serving as the Northeastern regional qualifier to select representatives for the national competition — the “51st Thailand University Games: Intanin Games” — which will be hosted by Maejo University, Chiang Mai, from 9 to 19 January 2026.

The results of this qualifying round were highly commendable for the Khon Kaen University contingent. The Women’s Basketball team performed exceptionally well and advanced to the national games, as did the Men’s Volleyball team, which secured a victory to move forward. In Sepak Takraw, KKU qualified impressively in multiple categories: Men’s Team, Women’s Team, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and the particularly outstanding Women’s Single Team event.

In Petanque, the KKU teams also achieved excellent results, qualifying for the national stage in the following events: Men’s Doubles (1st place), Women’s Doubles (1st place), Women’s Doubles (2nd place), Mixed Team, and Mixed Doubles. This success underscores the ability and dedication of Khon Kaen University’s athletes across all sporting disciplines.

While the Men’s Football, Men’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Futsal, and Women’s Volleyball teams did not advance to the national games this year, all teams displayed great teamwork, sportsmanship, and a determined commitment to developing their potential to the fullest.

Khon Kaen University extends heartfelt congratulations to all athletes, coaches, and staff members who devoted their time and energy to representing the university with pride. The university also invites the Mor Din Daeng community to continue offering encouragement and support to the athletes who have qualified for the “Intanin Games”, where they will proudly represent KKU on the national stage at Maejo University, Chiang Mai, from 9 to 19 January 2026.
