KKU Staff Golf Club Secures Four Major Awards at Charity Tournament, Supporting ‘Pee Chuey Nong’ Fund

On Sunday, 26 October 2025, the Khon Kaen University (KKU) Staff Golf Club delivered an outstanding performance at a charity golf tournament organised by the Mahasarakham University Alumni Association. Held at the Singha Park Golf Course in Khon Kaen Province, the KKU team secured significant prizes in both individual and team categories. Furthermore, their participation supported the establishment of the ‘Pee Chuey Nong’ (Senior Helps Junior) Fund, dedicated to providing scholarships for financially disadvantaged students.

The accomplishments of the Khon Kaen University Staff Golf Club are detailed as follows:

1.Assistant Professor Chamnan Boonyaputtipong, Ph.D. won the Overall Low Gross award with a score of 72.

2.Assistant Professor and Veterinarian Kanit Chookunhom, D.V.M., Ph.D. won the Overall Low Net award with a score of 72.

3.Mr. Jirawat Srisawangwong won the Flight B award with a score of 83.

4.The highest achievement of the competition was the Team Championship title secured by the KKU Staff Golf Club. The winning team members were:

    • Assistant Professor Sermsak Sumaunont, M.D., Faculty of Medicine
    • Assistant Professor and Veterinarian Kanit Chookunhom, D.V.M., Ph.D., Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
    • Assistant Professor Suraphon Nesusin, Ph.D., Academic Services Centre
    • Assistant Professor Chamnan Boonyaputtipong, Ph.D., Faculty of Architecture
    • Mr. Jirawat Srisawangwong, Institute of General Education
