On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Mrs. Natsamol Tanakulrungsarit, Vice President for Legal and Communications, presided over the opening of the 15th Mobile Blood Donation Drive organized by the Office of the President, Khon Kaen University. The event was hosted by the Division of Legal and Communications and the Corporate Communication Division, in collaboration with the Central Blood Bank, Faculty of Medicine, KKU.
The activity, held at the first-floor lobby of Sirikunakorn Building, Office of the President, welcomed enthusiastic participation from KKU administrators, faculty members, staff, students, and members of the public. A total of 42 qualified donors, including 9 first-time donors, contributed 16,800 cc of blood to support the hospital’s emergency reserves.
Mrs. Natsamol Tanakulrungsarit explained that the main objective of this blood donation drive is to replenish the blood reserves for Srinagarind Hospital and to ensure sufficient readiness in case of emergency situations.
“This activity has received overwhelming support from all sectors — administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the general public. The generosity and compassion shown through blood donation reflect the unity and volunteer spirit of the Thai people. The collected blood will be used for both routine and emergency medical cases, strengthening Srinagarind Hospital’s preparedness in providing timely care for patients. The University holds this activity every three months to maintain sufficient blood supply for those in need. Beyond being a charitable act, it also encourages donors to maintain good health, fostering both wellness and merit at the same time,” said the Vice President.
Ms. Prowsaeng Siriphanuwat, International Relations Officer, Division of International Affairs, shared her personal motivation: “The first time I donated blood, it was for a kindergarten child who was ill. I just wanted to help. Giving blood makes me feel at peace — it’s about giving without expecting anything in return, hoping that my blood can help restore someone’s health. Today marks my second donation. As I passed by the President’s Building, I decided to join again, thinking that this small act could make a big difference in someone’s life.”

The activity will continue to be held at the first-floor lobby of Sirikunakorn Building, Office of the President, Khon Kaen University.
