On September 19, 2025, the Srinagarind Heart Center organized its annual “Asian Dietitian’s Day” event, focusing on promoting healthy eating habits. This year’s activities featured a variety of special healthy menus, carefully selected for attendees to sample and integrate into their daily lives.
The event aimed to encourage health promotion efforts against Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). Key objectives included reducing the risk of chronic illnesses, managing weight, and promoting heart-healthy food consumption. The initiative sought to motivate individuals and their families to adopt and maintain healthier dietary practices.
Dr. Phongsak Intharaphet, Deputy Director for Medical Administration at the Queen Sirikit Heart Center of the Northeast Hospital, presided over the opening ceremony of Asian Dietitian’s Day 2025 on September 19, 2025. The event, held at the multipurpose area on the first floor of the Queen Sirikit Heart Center building, featured a forum focusing on the crucial role of dietitians.
The forum highlighted the importance of healthy eating habits and promoted the reduction of salt intake in diets. Discussions centered on the work of dietitians and their contribution to public health through nutritional guidance.
Attendees at the event were offered health check-ins, including blood pressure measurement, waist circumference, weight, height, and Body Mass Index (BMI) calculations. They also had the opportunity for direct consultations with dietitians and nutrition experts, who provided targeted advice on reducing sugar, fat, and salt intake.
