Khon Kaen University Law Students Secure Top Honors at National Law Quiz Competition

Bangkok, Thailand – Students from Khon Kaen University’s (KKU) Faculty of Law have achieved significant success at the 2025 National Law Quiz Competition, organized by the Office of the Judiciary. Two teams representing KKU secured the first and second runner-up positions, collectively earning over 100,000 baht in scholarships.

The competition, held at the Office of the Judiciary in Bangkok on September 13, 2025, saw KKU’s Faculty of Law bring pride to the university and the Northeastern region. Both KKU teams, having qualified as regional representatives from the Northeast, demonstrated exceptional legal knowledge and analytical skills.

Team A from Khon Kaen University was awarded the first runner-up prize, along with an 80,000 baht scholarship. The team comprised Mr. Wuttichai Noikhamphuang and Mr. Thanachot Sinthoram.

Team B from Khon Kaen University secured the second runner-up position, receiving a 60,000 baht scholarship. This team included Mr. Parawat Phonlakul and Mr. Metrai Pansomboon.

Chulalongkorn University claimed the championship title. Commendation prizes were also awarded to Ramkhamhaeng University and Thammasat University.

The competition initially saw 164 teams participate in regional qualifiers, with 32 teams advancing to the national round. This event serves as a crucial platform to showcase the legal potential, knowledge, and in-depth analytical capabilities of Thai students. The KKU students’ expertise, confidence, and strong teamwork were highly praised by the judging panel.

The KKU Faculty of Law expressed gratitude to the Office of the Judiciary for providing a platform that fosters learning experiences and essential professional skills for the nation’s new generation of legal professionals. This achievement not only highlights the students’ capabilities but also reflects the faculty’s commitment to developing high-quality legal professionals who can address societal needs and contribute to the country’s sustainable development, aligning with its mission to produce lawyers for society. The success is expected to inspire fellow students and those interested in legal studies.
