The Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at Khon Kaen University has announced “Sakon Nakhon,” a major arts and culture festival designed to showcase Isan (Northeastern Thai) art to a global audience. The event will feature a historic restaging and a grand new performance by the celebrated Sin Sai band.
The full-scale production aims to create a spectacular experience that resonates worldwide, bringing together a lineup of prominent artists on one stage. Performers include Top Narakorn Rabiabwathasilp, Taoyong Rabiabwathasilp, Noey from Lomkao Pittayakom School, Dr. Opor from Sakon Nakhon, Nes Printorn Sin Sai, Noey Narisara Sin Sai, Plagao Sin Sai, Ball Narin Sin Sai, Biggie Cary, C-Gram Tokyo Music, Leo Tokyo Music, and Mor Lam Thongsri Sin Sai.
The “Sakon Nakhon” performance is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025, with two showtimes at 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
Audiences can choose to attend the event live in the theater or watch via an online stream. In-person ticket prices are set at 1,000 THB for VIP, with other seats available at 500, 300, 200, and 100 THB. Access to the online broadcast is priced at 119 THB.
