KKU Faculty of Technology Celebrates 41st Anniversary with Focus on ‘SMART’ Values

KHON KAEN – The Faculty of Technology at Khon Kaen University (KKU) commemorated its 41st anniversary on August 22, 2025, with a full day of events celebrating its history and future direction under the theme, “41st Year Momentum: Driving Success with SMART values.

” The celebration was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Asst. Prof. Araya Chaoruangrit, Ph.D., and was attended by university executives, faculty members, staff, and students.

The day began at 7:30 a.m. with a traditional merit-making ceremony, where food and offerings were presented to nine Buddhist monks. The religious proceedings were presided over by KKU President, Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., who led the lighting of candles to pay respect to the Triple Gem.

A key part of the event was a ceremony to honor outstanding personnel and students. Asst. Prof. Pattarawit Polpinit, Ph.D., Vice President for Human Resources at KKU, presented the awards. Recognitions included the “Sri Fueng Fah” awards for both academic and support staff, commendations for newly promoted and newly appointed personnel, and honors for staff and students who brought distinction to the university through external achievements and national-level activities.

Following the awards, Asst. Prof. Polpinit delivered a special lecture on the event’s theme, “Driving Success with SMART.” He discussed the importance of developing the potential of both staff and students through the university’s core “SMART” values as a key strategy for achieving sustainable organizational success.

The anniversary event, held in the Fueng Fah Room at the Faculty of Technology, concluded with a communal lunch, fostering a warm atmosphere and reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the faculty’s community.
