Khon Kaen University’s Animal Center Staff Receive Occupational Health Evaluation

KHON KAEN – Personnel at Khon Kaen University’s Northeastern Laboratory Animal Center underwent an occupational health and safety assessment on August 5, 2025, aimed at ensuring a safe working environment for those involved in the care and husbandry of laboratory animals.

The evaluation was conducted by an expert team from the Office of Occupational Health and Safety, part of the university’s Faculty of Medicine. The team, led by Prof. Dr. Nesinee Chaiear and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sirintip Boonjaraspinyo, assessed the center’s working conditions and safety protocols.

During the assessment, the team provided health check-ups and offered professional guidance to the center’s staff on best practices for occupational health and safety. The initiative was designed to promote employee well-being, reduce potential workplace risks, and elevate the overall standard of operational safety.

The event underscored the importance of staff health and safety as a critical component in upholding international standards for research laboratories and ensuring the proper welfare of laboratory animals.
