KKU Advances Toward EdPEx 300 with “EdPEx Insight” Program to Elevate Educational Leadership

The Office of Academic Services, in collaboration with the Graduate School of Khon Kaen University, organized a workshop titled “EdPEx Insight: How to Be Excellent by EdPEx – A Deep Dive into EdPEx 300” from July 24 to 26, 2025, at the Bangsaen Heritage Hotel, Chonburi Province. The program was designed to enhance the capacity of administrators and personnel in higher education institutions by deepening their understanding of the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) framework and equipping them with tools to drive their organizations toward international standards of excellence.

The training featured distinguished experts, including Professor Dr. Kiatichai Faksri, Dean of the Graduate School at Khon Kaen University, who also serves as an assessor for the Thailand Quality Award (TQA) and an EdPEx specialist, and Dr. Pawana Kittiwimonchai, Director of the Division of Educational Quality Development at KKU, an expert in organizational quality development. Both speakers delivered lectures and facilitated interactive workshops.

The course content focused on three major areas essential for organizational development. The first area, Leadership and Strategy, emphasized the role of leadership in driving organizational success and the creation of an Organizational Profile that integrates processes and outcomes. The second area covered application of EdPEx criteria across categories 1–6, analyzing processes related to strategy, customer engagement, performance measurement, workforce development, and operations, using the ADLI framework (Approach, Deployment, Learning, Integration) as an assessment tool. The final component addressed analysis and evaluation of organizational results (Category 7) through the LeTCI approach (Levels, Trends, Comparisons, Integration), enabling participants to interpret and present results effectively to demonstrate excellence.

Professor Dr. Kiatichai highlighted that the program received strong interest and participation from executives and staff representing more than 10 leading higher education institutions nationwide. He noted that this initiative marks a significant achievement in building a knowledge-sharing network and promoting best practices to elevate the quality of Thai higher education to global standards. The workshop aligns with Khon Kaen University’s core missions in Lifelong Education and Community Outreach, as well as its 2025–2028 Strategic Plan, which focuses on reskilling, upskilling, and developing new skills for personnel to respond to change and strengthen the country’s competitiveness.
