KKU’s Academic Service Bureau Organizes National Training to Enhance Nursing and Financial Standards in Public Health

The Center for Lifelong Education under the Academic Service Bureau of Khon Kaen University (KKU) organized two key training workshops in June 2025 aimed at enhancing the capabilities of medical and financial personnel from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health. The workshops took place at Jazzotel Bangkok.

The first program, titled “Developing Nursing Documentation: Focus Charting” (21st cohort), was held from June 12 to 13, 2025. The training was led by Dr. Yuwadee Ketsamphan, President of the Thai Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society and member of the Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council, who is an experienced expert in nursing documentation.

The second program, “Workshop to Enhance the Capacity of Accounting Staff at Healthcare Service Units under the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health” (4th cohort), took place from June 16 to 17, 2025. It was led by Mr. Thanawat Thanabutayawat, a specialist in accrual-based accounting (GL) from the Office of the Permanent Secretary. This course was designed specifically for professionals responsible for finance and accounting within the public healthcare system.

Both training programs received an enthusiastic response, attracting over 145 participants from across the country. This high level of participation reflects the strong demand for upskilling and standard enhancement in Thailand’s public health services.

The organization of these workshops aligns with Khon Kaen University’s policy on lifelong learning, which emphasizes continuous knowledge and skill development for professionals in all sectors. This approach aims to ensure they remain responsive to global changes and capable of delivering high-quality services to Thai society.
