On May 30, 2025, the College of Computing, Khon Kaen University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration with AlphaSec Co., Ltd., a leading Thai cybersecurity company. The signing ceremony took place at the Wittayawipas 3 meeting room of the College of Computing, with Associate Professor Dr. Sirapat Chiewchanwattana, Dean of the College of Computing, and Mr. Nipon Nachin, Chief Executive Officer of AlphaSec Co., Ltd., signing the agreement. The event was witnessed by executives and faculty members from both organizations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirapat Chiewchanwattana stated, “The College of Computing is committed to developing human capital in digital technology. This collaboration with AlphaSec marks a significant step forward in enriching students’ real-world experience and building a strong bridge between academia and industry.”

The partnership aims to strengthen students’ skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience in cybersecurity, enabling them to apply what they’ve learned in real-world scenarios. It also aligns educational programs with industry needs to ensure graduates are well-prepared for the fast-evolving job market.

Following the signing, AlphaSec executives and staff toured the college’s computer laboratories to observe the IT infrastructure and the teaching methods used in courses related to cybersecurity and other digital technologies. Faculty members provided detailed explanations throughout the visit. AlphaSec is recognized as a well-equipped private sector organization with extensive expertise and experience working with large-scale enterprises in Thailand. The company also plays a vital role in nurturing the next generation of talent through its collaborations with educational institutions.
