On June 4, 2025, the Academic Service Bureau, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering at Khon Kaen University (KKU), organized an intensive workshop titled “AI for Executive Secretaries: Enhancing Professional Efficiency through Artificial Intelligence.” The event, held at Baya Sita Hotel on the KKU campus, reinforces the university’s mission of promoting lifelong education and developing 21st-century skills among Thailand’s workforce.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuchart Kamollert, Director of the Academic Service Bureau, who emphasized the unit’s strategic commitment to driving lifelong learning in alignment with KKU’s vision to build a learning society. He highlighted the importance of reskilling and upskilling human capital to meet the demands of the digital age and Industry 4.0 transformation.
The training featured Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanda Saikaew, an AI specialist from the Computer Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering, and Deputy Director for Digital Technology and Innovation at the Office of Academic Resources. Dr. Kanda provided participants with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in applying AI tools to real-world administrative tasks.
The workshop welcomed attendees from both the public and private sectors, including internal and external personnel affiliated with Khon Kaen University. Key practical topics covered included:
- Prompt Engineering Techniques for generating accurate and relevant AI responses
- Applying AI in Official Documentation: drafting meeting minutes and generating reports efficiently
- Content Creation: composing speeches, formal remarks, and social media content
- Visual Communication Tools: using AI-based platforms such as Canva, Napkin, and Gamma to design promotional materials and presentations
- Professional Online Form Design: building effective surveys and Google Forms
- Safe and Ethical AI Use: understanding AI limitations and responsible application
The overwhelmingly positive response to the training reflects the growing demand for AI competency across all sectors. The Academic Service Bureau hopes this initiative will serve as a catalyst for enhancing digital capabilities among Thailand’s workforce and empower professionals to apply AI tools effectively in their daily responsibilities.
This effort aligns with Khon Kaen University’s vision to become “a world-class university making a positive social impact,” while contributing to Thailand’s long-term transition toward a knowledge- and innovation-based economy.
