KKU College of Computing Visits Osaka Institute of Technology to Strengthen Academic Collaboration and Explore Innovation at Osaka Expo 2025

 

 

On May 20, 2025, a delegation from the College of Computing, Khon Kaen University—led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirapat Chieochanwattana, Dean of the College—visited the Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT) in Osaka, Japan. The delegation included executive members, program chairs, and faculty members from KKU.

 

The visit was warmly welcomed by OIT’s administrators and faculty. Discussions focused on potential areas for collaboration, including joint research projects, participation in the International Problem-Based Learning (iPBL) program, and student exchange initiatives at both undergraduate and graduate levels. These efforts aim to foster academic development, intercultural learning, and global competencies among students.

 

During the visit, the KKU delegation also had the opportunity to explore the Osaka Expo 2025, a world-class exposition showcasing global innovation, advanced technologies, and creative concepts under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” The expo highlights the role of technology in building healthier societies and improving quality of life.

 

This international engagement marks a significant step for the College of Computing in expanding global partnerships and bringing back fresh ideas, innovations, and inspiration to drive institutional development and academic excellence at Khon Kaen University.
