Medical Technologist, Srinagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University 1st runner-up prize Presentation type: lecture on science, technology and health science “Development of a prototype SPTA and SPTB gene mutation detection kit for the diagnosis of red blood cell wall disease”

Dr. Praewwalee Talking about the participation in presenting the work and winning the award this time, “I am very proud to receive this award and would like to thank the support team at Srinagarind Hospital and the team that played an important role in making this work possible.” For the work on “Development of a prototype kit for detecting mutations in SPTA and SPTB genes for diagnosing abnormal red blood cell wall disease”, it can be applied in daily work in the field Precision medicine In confirmatory testing, mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes are detected and used to detect specific mutations in first-degree relatives, which can reduce the waiting time for results from 10-14 days to only 3 days.

side Dr. Noppaporn The first runner-up said about his feelings that “I feel very happy and honored because it is a prestigious award from the national academic conference of personnel of higher education institutions nationwide, which received more than 200 submissions.”This research is to detect the mutation of the gene that causes anemia. The results of this research have been put into service in daily work. The method has been developed to make the test easier, reduce the cost of the solution, and reduce the service fee, allowing patients to access the service more. The doctors who use the results are satisfied. In addition, it is a change in the landscape from a diagnosis test to a test to protect the safety of the baby in the womb.
