The French Embassy in Thailand visited HUSO KKU to provide guidance on scholarships to study in France and discuss academic cooperation.

On September 25, 2024, Campus France Thailand, Office of Cooperation and Culture, French Embassy in Thailand, together with the Office of International Affairs and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, organized a special lecture on “Studies in France and Scholarships” and “Fellowship and Mobility Programs” to share knowledge about guidelines and applications for scholarships to study in France, as well as lectures on research cooperation and personnel exchange with universities in France. The event was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Oratai Piayura, Dean, who gave an opening speech and Dr. Ludovie ANDRES (Atfacheé for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation) who greeted the participants, along with executives, lecturers, researchers and students from various faculties of Khon Kaen University and Kalasin University, as well as the general public interested in studying in France, totaling more than 100 people, at Meeting Room 3218, Building HS03, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University.

In this event, Campus France Thailand, a French education advisory agency from the French government, presented Ms. Sujittra Panyawatana and Ms. Roxane Poitou, heads of Campus France Thailand, to share knowledge about further education and provide advice on how to apply for scholarships to inspire students in the Western Languages Program, French Major, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, as well as students currently studying French from Kalasin University to study in France.

In addition, there was a meeting between researchers and academics from Khon Kaen University and representatives from the Office of Cooperation and Culture to exchange knowledge about requesting and supporting research funds, and developing research collaboration and personnel exchanges with universities in France, presented by Mr. Johan Broc, Officer of the Science and Higher Education Division, and to discuss academic cooperation that will occur in the future. In addition, the Department of Western Languages, French Major, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences presented research and academic activities to celebrate the 340th anniversary of Franco-Thai relations.
