Faculty of Fine Arts, Khon Kaen University, together with Ban Kham Community, Pen Suk Subdistrict, Chom Phra District, Surin Province, under the operation of Arts for All, KKU Arts, creating a model community, would like to invite everyone to join the journey to learn about the culture of the southern Isan community on February 16-17, 2024 (2 days 1 night), which coincides with the "Rice Spirit Festival - Haoplueng Seriu".

            Local traditions that villagers have practiced and inherited from their ancestors for a long time are the ceremony of paying respect to the Goddess of Rice and inviting the spirit of the rice after the rice harvest. There is also a ceremony of Bai Sri to welcome the spirit of the rice, along with performances and games of 'Kantrum and Rueam An Rae', which are the arts and culture of the southern Isan people that come together to create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the event.

          Cultural tourism in the community "Ban Kham - Pensuk Sera Ampun", a Khmer community in Thai, Pensuk Subdistrict, Chom Phra District, Surin Province Stay in a homestay, eat local food (seasonal ingredients), and enjoy the culture of Ban Kham – Pensuk.

          Activities in the 2 days 1 night trip include: - “Worshiping the community’s Buddha image”, a sacred Buddha image that the community believes in - “Local performances of dancing and music” by youth and local artists - “Living Museum”, learning about the stories, history, lifestyle, traditions, and arts and culture of the community - “Rice Spirit Tradition – Hao Plueng Se Riu” - “Learning about the Sufficiency Economy Model Garden”, participatory farming at Uncle Peed’s Garden - Shopping for community products Special activities - “Watching an elephant show” at the Elephant Study Center, Tha Tum District, Surin Province

              There are 2 types of travel service rates: Type 1 price per person (costs for the entire trip in the community include 1. 4 main meals (seasonal raw ingredients) 2. 2 snacks (snacks and local herbal juice) 3. Homestay accommodation (sleeps 4 people per house) 4. Transportation services to tourist attractions **This price does not include the cost of traveling to Ban Kham and viewing the elephant show at the Elephant Study Center.** This package is suitable for those who are comfortable traveling by personal vehicle.
