Professor Dr. Hirofumi Ando, a lecturer at the College of Local Government, received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon from His Majesty Emperor Naruhito, represented by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, Mr. OBA Yuichi, Deputy Chief of the Mission, Japanese Embassy in Thailand.

On December 8, 2022, the College of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University, held a ceremony to receive the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon from His Majesty Emperor Naruhito, with Mr. OBA Yuichi, Deputy Chief of the Mission, Japanese Embassy in Thailand, representing His Majesty the Emperor of Japan in presenting the said order to Professor Dr. Hirofumi Ando, a lecturer at the College of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University.

The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon is a mark of honor for individuals who have played an important role and made outstanding contributions to promoting cooperation and good relations between countries and Japan. In addition to this qualification, Professor Dr. Hirofumi Ando has also played an important role in promoting and supporting the social, population, public health and economic development of Thailand under the financial and academic support of the United Nations.

In this ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, welcomed Mr. OBA Yuichi and Professor Dr. Krasae Chanawong, President of Krirk University and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, who received The Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, 6th Class, highest level from the Emperor of Japan in 2005, congratulated Professor Dr. Hirofumi Ando in front of invited guests, including executives, lecturers, and some personnel of the College of Local Administration.
