Khon Kaen University recently collaborated with Kalasin University to enhance institutional communication networks and accelerate university rebranding strategies through advanced digital technology. On Thursday, 23 April 2026, Kalasin University launched the 2026 Communication Staff Network Project to optimise corporate image communication efficiency. Associate Professor Suphan Sudson, Ph.D., President of Kalasin University, presided over the opening ceremony, which featured a specialised team of communication experts from Khon Kaen University (KKU). The event drew more than 80 communication executives and practitioners to the Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, Kalasin University, City Campus.

Organised by the Corporate Communications Section of the Policy and Planning Division, Office of the President, Kalasin University, the initiative serves as a vital component of the broader Media Development and Public Relations Drive for the New Institutional Image. Aligning with the “KSU Rebranding” policy, the project aims to elevate the university’s corporate identity and strengthen public confidence at both regional and national levels. The primary objectives focus on reinforcing the communication workforce network, disseminating strategic communication frameworks and key institutional messages, and aligning image building into a unified direction.

Associate Professor Sudson emphasised the critical role of professional public relations in higher education, stating:
“Corporate communication is a pivotal mechanism driving the university towards its designated milestones. Particularly in an era where data and information evolve rapidly, accurate, clear, timely, and unified communication becomes essential to building public trust and a positive institutional image. This initiative equips 65 public relations personnel from nine university divisions through special lectures and practical workshops designed to standardise our corporate identity.”
Ms Jiraporn Pratoomchai, a Public Relations Officer and lead speaker from the Communications Division of Khon Kaen University, highlighted the collaborative spirit of the programme:
“This project presents an excellent opportunity to cultivate contemporary communication skills, exchange knowledge, and forge lasting networks between our institutions. We sincerely hope that all participants will practically apply these insights to keep Kalasin University abreast of modern shifts and steer the institution towards sustainable excellence.”
Reflecting on the impact of the training, Mr Akkhadet Imphat, a staff member from the Faculty of Engineering at Kalasin University, noted that the workshop clarified the strategic communication direction of the university. He expressed his readiness to implement the key messages and shared perspectives to enhance public relations within his faculty.
The intensive workshop featured comprehensive sessions led by five distinguished experts from Khon Kaen University: Ms Jiraporn Pratoomchai, Public Relations Officer; Ms Porntip Khamdee, Senior Audio-Visual Technical Officer; Mr Natthawut Jaruwong, Audio-Visual Technical Officer; Mr Pasakorn Tueprakhon, Head of the Scholarships and Alumni Section, Student Development and Alumni Relations Division; and Mr Itthiwat Chanchaichit, Educational Technical Officer, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy.
