KKU Science Park Selects Five Student Start-Ups for Regional ELP Competition

Five innovative student business ideas have been chosen to represent Khon Kaen University at the regional level, preparing young entrepreneurs for international business expansion.   

Khon Kaen University (KKU), through the Khon Kaen University Science Park, organised the University Selection event for student start-ups under the “Experiential Learning Program: ELP 2026” on 26 May 2026. The competition took place at the Regional Science Park Innovation Centre (Northeast 1), Khon Kaen Province.

The initiative aimed to identify high-potential students with innovative business projects to represent the university at the regional level. The programme focuses on enhancing student entrepreneurial skills, developing business models, and strengthening English pitching capabilities to prepare participants for international business expansion. Dr. Apirachai Wongsriworaphon, Director of the Khon Kaen University Science Park and Director of the Regional Science Park (Northeast 1), presided over the opening ceremony.

During the event, student teams presented their business concepts and innovation models to a panel of distinguished expert judges. The judging panel comprised Mr. Chayaphat Pathumnakul from the Khon Kaen University International College, Mr. Wittawat Kapkraikaew from TT Solution Company Limited, and Ms. Wannipa Pipopchaiyasit, Director of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) Investment Promotion Center Region 3.

Following the competitive pitching sessions, five students were selected as university representatives to advance to the regional level:

  • Ms. Kornkanda Phokanchai (Khon Kaen University International College)

    • Project: After Bloom – An innovative mental health assessment system for postpartum mothers.

  • Ms. Fahsai Suwannaho (Khon Kaen University International College)

    • Project: Greenerlogy – A waste management platform for processed mango products.

  • Mr. Worawut Suphannawong (Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University)

    • Project: XOS – A Xylo-oligosaccharide prebiotic innovation.

  • Ms. Manassanan Noitamyae (Khon Kaen University International College)

    • Project: Coldtag – An IoT tracking system for temperature monitoring during mango transportation.

  • Ms. Pornphat Sangsurat (Khon Kaen University International College)

    • Project: KKU CKD – A monitoring and tracking system for chronic kidney disease patients.

This event reflects the crucial role of the KKU Science Park in nurturing the potential of students to become next-generation innovative entrepreneurs.
