Khon Kaen, Thailand – Students from the Faculty of Science at Khon Kaen University (KKU) have won both the first-place and third-place awards at the “Presentation for International CWIE KKU” event for the second semester of the 2025 academic year.
The presentation event, held on May 1, 2027, at The Heritage Grand Convention hotel in Khon Kaen, showcased the work of students in the international science and technology category. It provided a platform for students to present the results of their international cooperative and work-integrated education (CWIE) experiences.
A panel of expert judges, including Assistant Professor Dr. Chusak Punsawat from the Faculty of Science and Dr. Rakhamon Ubonban, a biochemistry alumnus from Bio-Active Co., Ltd., evaluated the presentations.
Two students from the Faculty of Science were recognized for their outstanding work:
- First Place Winner: Ms. Punyavee Sarakul received the top award for her presentation titled, “Development of Free-Space Optical Communication via Spatial Polarization State Encoding Using a Spatial Light Modulator (SLM).”
- Second Runner-Up (Third Place): Ms. Natcha Kaewsawat earned this award for her presentation on “The Study of Various Alloys to Enhance the Interface with Lithium Metal.”
A total of 12 students from the Faculty of Science participated, showcasing the knowledge and skills gained from their international placements at universities such as National Central University, Seoul National University, National Chiayi University, National Pingtung University, and Chung Yuan Christian University.
The Presentation for International CWIE KKU event serves as a valuable platform for students to gain experience in presenting their work on an international stage, providing a strong foundation for their future professional development.
