Enactus Thailand Orientation Day at KKU Buzzes with Activity as Northeastern Students Join Workshop and Gain Inspiration from Social Entrepreneurs to Compete for Global Stage

On Saturday, 28 February 2026, Khon Kaen University was honoured to host the “Enactus Thailand 2026 Orientation Day: Northeastern Region” at the Sirikunakorn Room in the Sirikunakorn Building. The event, organised by the Raks Thai Foundation and Enactus Thailand, drew a large number of university students from across the northeastern region. They gathered to gain inspiration and prepare for the creation of innovative social enterprise projects, with the goal of competing in the Enactus World Cup 2026 in Brazil.

The morning session commenced with an opening ceremony, presided over by M.L. Pariyada Diskul, a board member of the Raks Thai Foundation. She delivered an inaugural address, offering guidance and encouragement to the students to embrace their roles as social entrepreneurs.

A key highlight of the event was the “Impact & Inspire” session, where participants heard firsthand from successful guest speakers. These included Ms. Petchladda Butmaha, Co-Founder of the renowned social enterprise ‘Ban Lang Wat Coffee’; Mr. Kueakoon Vongtrakul-lek; and Dr. Peerapong Klinla-or. They shared their perspectives and journeys in building businesses that create a positive impact on communities. This was followed by an inspiring session with Enactus Thailand alumni, who motivated the new generation of participants.

In the afternoon, the programme intensified with the “Idea Sprint Workshop,” conducted by the Enactus Thailand team. This hands-on workshop guided students through a rapid ideation and development process, enabling them to transform their concepts into tangible and competitive project proposals.

Khon Kaen University’s selection as the host venue for this event reflects its readiness to serve as a regional learning hub and aligns with the University’s commitment to fostering a spirit of social devotion among its students. This event not only provided a platform for students to showcase their potential but also ignited a passion for creating sustainable change in society for the younger generation.
