The Khon Kaen University Demonstration School, Kindergarten Section, Organizes “The Open House Innovator” to Nurture Young Innovators for the Future

On February 12, 2026, the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School, Kindergarten Section, organized “The Open House Innovator” for the Academic Year 2025. Ms. Angkanawan Thamma, Deputy Director of the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School, Kindergarten Section, presided over the opening ceremony. Over 900 attendees participated, including faculty, teachers, staff, parents, and students, at the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School, Kindergarten Section.

The main objective of the activity was to equip students with knowledge and fundamental skills in innovation, promoting creativity and self-expression through classroom activity presentations, educational innovations developed by teachers, student works, and exhibition booths. This provided interested attendees with knowledge and an opportunity to exchange experiences regarding educational innovation.

Ms. Angkanawan Thamma, Deputy Director, stated, “This activity provides students with knowledge and experience related to innovation creation, encouraging them to become innovators. We presented student exhibitions and various projects. The content was designed to blend learning through the STEM process—covering science, art, mathematics, technology, and engineering skills—to help students develop concepts and skills necessary for 21st-century learning, along with group activities that enhance unity, creativity, and self-understanding. We firmly believe that these activities are a vital force in shaping students to become future innovators.”

Ms. Warunya Boonyoo, a parent of a student in Class 2/3, shared, “Participating in this event allowed the children to practice introducing themselves, develop teamwork through rhythmic activities, and engage in STEM learning processes, including science, art, mathematics, technology, and engineering skills. I noticed that the children gained inspiration; for example, while learning about the underwater world, a child who loves whales explained that they like whales because they are warm-blooded mammals and could articulate why they favored that specific animal. I am impressed that the teachers act as coaches, not just sole providers of knowledge, and can organize the term-long kindergarten curriculum to align with 21st-century learning.”

The project was scheduled to be held from February 11–12, 2026, at the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School, Kindergarten Section. The activities included exhibitions of student learning through educational innovations, categorized as follows:
