The Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University, extends its congratulations to Dr. Nantawat Joomaban, a master’s degree student in Dental Sciences specialising in Oral Diagnosis, for winning the Silver Medal at the Thailand New Gen Inventors Award 2026 (I – New Gen Award 2026). He received the award at the university level in the Health and Medical category for his invention, “Chitosan Mouth Spray,” developed under the supervision of Associate Professor Wilairat Sarideechaigul, his primary advisor.

The event was organised by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Dr. Wiparat Dee-ong, Director of the NRCT, graciously served as the chair of the ceremony, with esteemed committee members and executives from the National Research Council joining to congratulate and visit innovative projects by students from across the country. The competition took place from January 5–9, 2026, at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna, Bangkok.

Dr. Nantawat Joomaban’s achievement is a testament to his dedication, research capabilities, and innovation in dental science. It is a source of pride for the institution and serves as an important driving force for the further development of useful research for the nation’s healthcare and medical sectors in the future.
