On 23 December 2025, Khon Kaen University (KKU), led by Associate Professor Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University, alongside Associate Professor Nawarat Waraasawapati, D.D.S., D.M.Sc., Vice President for International Affairs, welcomed a delegation from Eastern International University (EIU), Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The delegation was led by Mr. Nguyễn Tấn Lợi, Chairman of Eastern International University (EIU), and Dr. Ngô Minh Đức, President of Eastern International University (EIU).
The KKU welcoming party also included deans and executives from the College of Local Administration, the Faculty of Public Health, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, the College of Computing, and the Faculty of Nursing. The purpose of this visit was to pay respects and discuss academic cooperation. This continuous engagement reflects the strong existing educational relationship and the tangible development of cooperation between the two institutions.


The discussions focused on the concrete collaboration that has been continuously implemented by both universities, including student mobility for cooperative education programmes and internships, staff exchange, recruitment of students for postgraduate studies, and joint human resource development. This established cooperation is likely to pave the way for an increased exchange of students and personnel in the coming phase. Furthermore, both parties discussed future avenues for expanded cooperation, specifically in joint research and the development of joint curricula in high-potential fields, aiming to elevate academic collaboration to a sustained and robust long-term partnership.
In addition to the main meeting, the delegation from Eastern International University (EIU) followed their itinerary by visiting and holding discussions with various KKU faculties and colleges, including the College of Local Administration, the Faculty of Nursing, the College of Computing, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, the Faculty of Public Health, and the Faculty of Engineering. These meetings at the faculty level were instrumental in exchanging detailed information and fostering mutual understanding, thereby supporting the continuity and tangible progress of academic collaboration between the two institutions.
