KKU and CMU Education Faculties Strengthen Academic Collaboration and Exchange in Educational Administration

 

On May 30, 2025, the Faculty of Education at Khon Kaen University warmly welcomed faculty members and graduate students from the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University (CMU), for an academic exchange and study visit. The event reinforced the longstanding partnership between the two institutions, focusing on shared learning and collaboration in the field of educational administration.

 

The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wayu Kanjanasorn, Associate Dean for Student and Organizational Development, who extended a formal welcome to the visiting delegation led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yongyut Yaboonthong, along with master’s and doctoral students from CMU. Also delivering welcoming remarks were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saowanee Sirisuksilp, Chair of the Ph.D. Program in Educational Administration, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Dawruwan Thawilkan, Chair of the M.Ed. Program in Educational Administration, both emphasizing the importance of building a strong and close-knit academic partnership for the advancement of knowledge in educational administration.

“This visit reflects the deep and enduring relationship between the two faculties of education,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wayu Kanjanasorn. “It is a valuable opportunity for faculty and students to broaden their perspectives, share insights, and apply their experiences to advance research and leadership in education. We hope this collaboration will spark innovative thinking and contribute meaningfully to the field.”

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yongyut Yaboonthong expressed his gratitude on behalf of CMU, saying:

The visit included two major academic sessions:

 

  • A knowledge-sharing seminar on “Educational Administration Research in the AI Era and Future Research Trends”,
  • A panel discussion on “Publishing Research Articles in National and International Journals”, which focused on practical strategies for publishing in international journals, including guidance on selecting journals indexed in Scopus.

 

The sessions were filled with thoughtful discussions and mutual learning, allowing both sides to share academic insights and spark new ideas.

This academic exchange not only strengthened the relationship between two of Thailand’s leading institutions in education, but also aligned with KKU’s strategic direction to advance educational innovation through research. The event encouraged graduate students to further develop their research capabilities and leadership potential in educational administration—key to nurturing future educational leaders capable of driving innovation and contributing meaningfully to Thai society and beyond.
