Khon Kaen, January 15, 2025 – The Communication Affairs Division of Khon Kaen University has launched a groundbreaking initiative to enhance its public relations capabilities through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). The two-day training program, titled “Transforming PR with AI: Creative News Writing and Graphic Design in the Digital Era,” is being held at the picturesque Khemmala Chalet Resort Phuphaman in Phuphaman District, Khon Kaen, from January 15–16, 2025.
The event was inaugurated by Mrs. Natsamol Tanakulrungsarit, Vice President for Legal and Communications, who emphasized the importance of leveraging AI to modernize and unify the university’s public relations efforts. The program aims to equip over 40 participants from various faculties and departments with cutting-edge skills in news writing, photography, and graphic design, fostering a cohesive and innovative approach to organizational communication.

Mr. Chumporn Para, Director of the Communication Affairs Division, highlighted the project’s objectives in his remarks:
“This initiative is a vital step in improving communication and enhancing the university’s image as we strive to position Khon Kaen University as a world-class research institution. By developing the communication skills of our staff and strengthening collaboration within our public relations network, we aim to create a unified and impactful organizational image.”
The training program features two key workshops. The first, “Transforming PR with AI: News Writing,” was led by Ms. Raviporn Saisaenthong, Head of Media Production; Mrs. Wadchara Noichompoo, Senior Public Relations Officer; and Ms. Jiraporn Pratomchai, Public Relations Officer. Participants explored innovative techniques for crafting compelling news stories using AI tools, ensuring their content is both engaging and efficient.
The second workshop, “Creative Graphic Design in the Digital Era,” was conducted by Mr. Natthawut Charuwong and Mr. Attapon Hampong, audiovisual specialists from the Media Production Unit. This session focused on modern graphic design techniques, enabling participants to create visually striking and professional materials that resonate with their target audiences.
The workshops were designed to be both informative and interactive, fostering a warm and collaborative atmosphere. Participants had the opportunity to practice hands-on techniques and exchange ideas, ensuring they left with practical skills to apply in their respective roles.
One of the participants, Ms. Kannapat Sirikiat, a senior art academic from the Faculty of Architecture, shared her enthusiasm for the program:
“I’m thrilled to be part of this training. It’s a fantastic opportunity to update my knowledge, especially in AI technology. I’ve previously used ChatGPT to summarize documents for news writing, but today I’ve learned new techniques that will help me create more effective and timely content for our faculty’s public relations efforts.”
