On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supat Sinawat, Director of the Khon Kaen University Library (KKUL), along with the library’s executive team, warmly welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Songphan Choemprayong, Deputy Director of the Office of Academic Resources, Chulalongkorn University.
During the visit, KKU Library presented its transformation into a “Learning Center for All,” a modern library model tailored to meet the evolving needs of its users. KKU Library has introduced new services focusing on enhancing digital literacy for students, staff, and the general public. These services reflect innovative library practices in Thailand, including the application of Virtual Reality (VR) technology to support learning in various disciplines, the development of learning programs aimed at fostering new skills, and the introduction of prompt librarians skilled in generative AI to assist with learning. Additionally, the library has launched the first AI Clinic in northeastern Thailand, using generative AI to support excellence in education, research, and the essential skills for the 21st century.
This visit provided a valuable opportunity to foster future collaboration between the KKU Library and the Office of Academic Resources, Chulalongkorn University, in various areas.
