Friday June 28, 2024 – The KKU Academy organized the first ‘Talk Event’ under the theme: KKU Academy Talk: Where Learning Meets Inspiration, with an aim to build learning, inspiration and creativity, through the transfer of experiences by experts in multiple fields, both sciences and arts.
Assoc. Prof. Pattaravut Vadhanasap, M.D., Ph.D., Acting Director of KKU Academy, said, “KKU Academy Talk is the first activity where we want to build a learning community under the concept: Where Learning Meets Inspiration. Experts from various fields join to share their experiences that connect with learning and inspiration building. The event is also a venue for chatting and exchanging of ideas, for everyone to open their ears, eyes and world vision.”
Khun Nantanat Suppawiboon, a part-time lecturer of the College of Music, Mahasarakham University said, “The cello with only eight notes can transfer a variety of songs, not limited only to classical music, but it can also transfer culture of contemporary songs such as Pop songs and folk. It is the art worth studying.”
Dr. Kitt Tiantanopajai, Acting Deputy Director for Research and Digital of the KKU Academy revealed, “DQ or Digital Intelligence is the capacity group related to social, emotion and perception that enable a person to face the challenge of the digital life and adjust him/herself to it. The indicator like IQ has been used to develop human’s intellectual skills while EQ has studied the development of the level of emotional intellect. However, with the changing social context, the intellectual and emotional skills are not enough for a person to face things in the cyber world. DQ or Digital Intelligence, the skill in the use of media and online socialization, is therefore the new life skills that should be learned and trained at present, when there are lots of information, news, and technologies.”
The event began with ‘When Cello Speaks the Music’, the song played by the experienced cellist, Khun Nantanat Suppawiboon, from Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. During the KKU Academy Talk session, there was a special talk on ‘DQ: From Digital Literacy to Digital Mastery’ by Dr. Kitt Tiantanopajai, Acting Deputy Director for Research and Digital of the KKU Academy. The event closed with the Q&A session and Discussion, with Assoc. Prof. Rossawan Areemit, M.D., Acting Deputy Director for Education, KKU Academy, being the moderator. This session opened an area for participants to join and share their experiences.
